|Oak Treatment||Fermented & matured for 16 months in French oak barriques (45% new, 40% one year old, balance older).|
Very pale gold with green tints. Complex aromas of white peach, nectarines and hazelnut nougat are overlaid by notes of struck flint and spicy French oak. Flavours of stonefruit, grapefruit zest and roasted hazelnuts are complemented by racy acidity, taut minerality and fine creamy texture.
Enjoy with pan seared scallops with pea puree and crispy pancetta or potatoes au gratin.
Single Block: Selected from the most unique site on the vineyard - I block. With a westerly aspect overlooking the Heggies Lake. Aligned to the prevailing winds, westerly breezes have a cooling influence as they move across the water. Gently sloping block with skeletal soils at top and deeper at the lake end.
