The 1998 ripening season was near perfect, with mild and dry conditions allowing the fruit to ripen slowly through Autumn and well into April before being picked. At harvest, both sugars and flavours were perfect and balanced well by high fruit acids, resulting in a wine with exceptional balance, elegance and finesse.
Pale straw in colour with tints of green, Heggies Vineyard Museum Reserve Eden Valley Riesling 1998 offers a nose of juicy citrus lime, which melds with the toasty bottle maturation notes that develop in Eden Valley Rieslings. The palate explodes with fruit flavours of lime, musk, spice and toast, which lead into a lingering mineral finish.
