The wines from the 2005 Eden Valley vintage have excellent intensity of flavour and structure. Good rains at the beginning of the 2004/05 growing season augured well for vintage. The skies cleared by mid January and the remainder of the seaon was dry and warm, providing ideal conditions for long, even flavour ripening. The grapes had coloured well by mid February resulting in very strong Merlot wine colour.
